Cardamom Bliss Ball

The perfect superfood snack. With the addition of adaptogenic herb Ashwagandha, this recipe is sure to bring a little bliss into your afternoon. ⁣

  • ⁣Nut-free⁣

  • Easy to make⁣

  • Grain-free⁣

  • Refined sugar-free ⁣

Ingredients

•1 1/2 cups tightly packed Medjool dates, pitted⁣

•1/3 cup creamy sunflower seed butter (or tahini) ⁣

•1/2 cup shredded unsweetened coconut ⁣

•1 tbs of Ashwagandha or other adaptogenic herb. ⁣ (omit if you’re giving to kiddos under 12)

•1/4 teaspoon fine sea salt

• 1 tsp Ground Cardamom ⁣

*optional toppings to decorate: hemp hearts, rose, coconut flakes ⁣

Directions

1. Add pitted dates into a large food processor, then process until they form a sticky ball. Use a spatula to break up the date mixture a bit, then add in the sunflower seed butter, shredded coconut, and salt if using. ⁣

2. Blend again until a sticky batter is formed.⁣ Scoop the dough by tablespoons and roll them into balls. 

3. Arrange them on a flat plate or baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Roll the balls in extra shredded coconut, hemp or rose, then place them in the fridge or freezer to firm up a bit. ⁣
